and want it to be clear, precise, and reliable, especially when the pressure is on.
Most of my clients are highly capable. They think quickly, notice nuance, and hold themselves to a high standard. Their challenge isn’t intelligence or effort. It’s that their English doesn’t always keep pace with their thinking when confidence, speed, or stakes increase.
That’s the gap my work is designed to address.
I’m a CELTA-certified English teacher based in Madrid, with over 18 years of experience working with adult professionals across corporate, academic, and institutional settings.
Over time, my work has shifted away from traditional language instruction toward a more focused and tailored approach: helping people manage how they think, speak, and decide in English under real conditions.
Alongside my language training background, I’ve completed professional coaching training and am currently working toward certification with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This training informs how I work with confidence, hesitation, and self-monitoring, not as abstract “mindset issues,” but as practical, solvable communication challenges.
My approach combines:
precise language awareness
coaching-based cognitive strategies
real-world communication practice
I pay close attention to how people:
process information while speaking
respond to pressure, visibility, or uncertainty
get caught in over-analysis or self-correction
Many of my clients think faster than they can comfortably speak. Others are highly precise and struggle when communication requires speed or flexibility. I help them stay present, composed, and clear, without flattening their thinking or forcing a persona that doesn’t fit.
We don’t aim for confidence as a feeling. We build confidence as a functional state: the ability to communicate effectively even when conditions aren’t ideal.
This work tends to suit adults who:
think in complex or non-linear ways
care deeply about accuracy, tone, and meaning
are used to performing at a high level
feel frustrated when their communication doesn’t reflect their competence or complexity
I work best with people who value clarity, depth, and direct feedback, and who want support that respects their intelligence.
I’ve worked with professionals at multinational companies, public institutions, and universities, including:
Deutsche Bank
Bank of Spain
The Spanish Supreme Court
National Securities Market Commission (CNMV)
CSIC, Cores,Cisco, Air Liquide, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Mahou
Alongside coaching and teaching, I’ve worked extensively as a copy editor and academic editor, supporting researchers preparing manuscripts for peer review and publication. I collaborate with academics at institutions including the University of Málaga, University of Valencia, University of Alcalá de Henares, and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
This work has sharpened my focus on clarity, structure, and precision, all skills that directly inform how I coach spoken and written communication.

Advanced Language Study: Italian, French, Portuguese, Ancient Greek, and Latin
Learning multiple languages as an adult continues to shape how I understand cognitive load, precision, and the challenge of expressing complex ideas clearly.
Clients often describe working with me as:
grounding and steady
intellectually engaging
practical rather than performative
supportive without being indulgent
I don’t oversimplify.
I don’t rush the work.
I don’t impose a style or set of phrases.
I help you find your voice in English, so your communication feels accurate, natural, and genuinely yours.
If you want your English to better reflect how you actually think and work, the next step is a conversation.
